Healing Circle

The purpose is to begin the healing process, promote understanding, solve problems, build trust, and respect each other and self. Elders and teachers teach lessons about the sanctity of life and guides to inner self. People use it for violence, addictions, poverty, etc. The ceremony begins with a Smudging. Certain items can be placed in the middle

• eagle feather
• etc.

Medicine Wheel

The circle represents the continuous cycle of life and the connection among all species. The Powers of the four directions organize everything that exists

• Seasons - winter, spring, summer fall
• Races - red, white, yellow, black
• Universe - water, fire, air, earth
• Life - child, youth, adult, elder
• Personality - spiritual, physical, mental, emotional

Elders use the circle to as a tool for teaching younger generations about who they are, where they come from, their place in the world. and how they are related to each other and to all that lives and breathes.
